AGEMERA present at the Mining Indaba event

AGEMERA partners joined the Mining Indaba event in South Africa and took the opportunity to discuss about the project with participants

Lately, the mining industry has faced disruptions caused by geopolitical factors and trade transformation. The Russian war in Ukraine has disrupted the commodity market and supply chains, while dependenccy on Chinese raw materials has fueled concerns in North America and Europe about supply shortages. At the same time, there is some evidence of resource nationalism as countries are looking to secure raw materials to strengthen their supply chains, especially when it comes to electric vehicles. Considering these trends in the mining industry, it's likely that investments in mineral exploration will increase. However, particular attention is now given to sustainable alternatives, as companies are looking to cut down their costs and ESG (environmental, social and governance) concerns have become stronger, creating a demand for non-invasive, cost-efficient, and fast solutions.

Mining Indaba is the leading mining industry and investment event in Africa, bringing together visionaries and innovators across the entire mining value chain. One of our partners from Finland, Radai, participated in the event (which took place in Cape Tow, South Africa), for the first time this year and found it extremely productive. They had a shared booth with Mining Finland and GTK - a busy meeting point with a great location, an excellent place to be for AGEMERA! As the race for commodities in Africa has started, we have the chance to be among the first ones there to provide agile exploration methods for a more sustainable and socially acceptable mineral exploration, and we took the first step by connecting with stakeholders in this great event.
