AGEMERA joins the Raw Materials Week in Brussels
Several of our partners joined a flagship event of the raw materials sector, presenting AGEMERA's technologies and educational packages and networking with experts and policymakers
It seems that with each year that passes, we grow more and more excited to be a part of the Raw Materials Week in Brussels - a staple event in the sector, that connects the industry to policymakers and experts in academia, research, and more.
This year was a particularly touching event for us, as we kicked it off in the best way possible: by seeing our project featured in a brand new HaDEA (European Health and Digital Executive Agency) publication, as one of the 6 examples of successful projects dealing with raw materials. We are humbled by the recognition, but also incredibly proud of our partners for all the hard work they have been putting into AGEMERA right from the get-go.
And that's not all: we were also included in two parallel sessions:
- The "Horizon Technology Success Stories" one, where we presented our technologies and methods (muography, passive-seismic methods, and drone-operated electromagnetic surveys) and the AGEMERA Geo-Suite GUI - our colleague Barbara Stimac Tumara from OPT/NET conducted the presentation on our behalf
- One where Helmut Mischo from TU Bergakademie Freiberg introduced our university courses on critical raw materials in the twin transition and how they help promote the UNFC and UNRMS as "global languages"
Apart from these highlights, we also joined the main conference on Wednesday, where we had the chance to see European Commissioners Stéphane Séjourné and Maroš Šefčovič and listen to the panel discussions centred around Europe's competitiveness and resilience, and we cheered for our colleague Fernando Tornos, who gave a speech on Thursday on strategic exploration approached to raw materials.
The Raw Materials Week, which typically takes place on November of each year, was the perfect way to wrap up a busy year and reflect on the future of the sector, with hope.
