AGEMERA partners meet in Tallinn

AGEMERA partners meet in Tallinn

The partners working on raising awareness of critical raw materials and assessing local acceptance of mining in our regions of focus met in the Estonian capital to plan for the months ahead and identify potential challenges

Sometimes the best ideas come unexpectedly - and when one of our partners suggested during the General Assembly meeting in Salamanca to organise an in person-meeting and discuss all the tasks related to our awareness raising efforts, we couldn't help but welcome it. As such, in June, representatives from TU Bergakademie Freiberg, University of Lapland, Geonardo, and the University of Oulu, were welcomed by our colleagues at TalTech - Tallinn University of Technology for a 2-day meeting to plan our future actions.

These were two productive days, where we went over everything, from our questionnaires dealing with the social acceptance of mineral exploration among local communities, to the public awareness events calendar and the subsequent communication strategies driving these events. We made a plan for the autumn months and ensured that each partner is aware of their responsibilities - and we used this opportunity to strengthen our cooperation during our many formal and informal chats. Big things await us, so make sure to not lose sight of our project!
