AGEMERA partners take part in the Winter School of Rock Mechanics and Geoengineering

We've joined the Winter School of Rock Mechanics and Geoengineering once again this year, with a presentation showcasing our muographic measurements in the Lubin mine

The AGEMERA team shows no signs of slowing down - while the majority of us were gathered in Salamanca for our GA meeting, others chose to boost our dissemination efforts by attending scientific events (for which we are very grateful!).

For example, on 14 March 2024, Dr. Eng. Marcin Szumny from our partner institution KGHM Cuprum joined the XLV edition of the Winter School of Rock Mechanics and Geoengineering in Stryszawa, Poland. His presentation focused on the results of pilot muographic measurements in the LUBIN mine. Prepared in collaboration with our colleagues who are experts on muography, Muon Solutions, and KGHM Polska Miedź S.A., the presentation drew the attention of the audience and sparked an animated discussion on the possibility of passive rock mass monitoring in regular mining operations.

We're always happy to hear such news!
