AGEMERA present at the 11th International Conference on Sustainable Development in the Minerals Industry
One of our partners joined the conference in Torino to present the questionnaires we developed and conducted in five countries to gain a better understanding on local perceptions of mining and mineral exploration
Moving forward towards a sustainable future - at the beginning of July, our colleague Md Ariful Islam from the TU Bergakademie Freiberg attended the 11th International Conference on Sustainable Development in the Minerals Industry in the Italian city of Torino.
Ariful centred his presentation around the questionnaire we launched to assess the local opinions and concerns in regard to mineral exploration and mining in five countries. He also addressed our preliminary observations on social sustainability based on the data collected in the survey.
The event, whose inception dates back to 2003, brought together various members of the mining industry from all over the globe to exchange knowledge and find out about the latest developments in the field.
